Women Entrepreneurs on the Web
Women Entrepreneurs on the Web (WeOW) is a Google program for female entrepreneurs to connect, grow their online presence, and utilize Google products to launch and scale their businesses. As part of the program, entrepreneurs learn to build their online presence, connect with their customers, track and optimize their efforts, and connect with other entrepreneurs in their communities.
The Singapore Women@Google group teamed up with The Athena Network Singapore to launch WEoW in Singapore in May 2012. Originally pioneered in the UK, The Athena Network recently opened its meetings to women in Singapore with plans to spread through Asia Pacific. It is the leading Business Community for Female Executives and Entrepreneurs. Focusing exclusively on female executives and entrepreneurs, The Athena Network provides a platform for members to share knowledge and experience across a diverse range of industry sectors, and to collaborate for mutual success.
Women Entrepreneurs on the Web (WEoW) is an initiative aimed at helping women-owned businesses grow their online presence. This initiative is currently available in India, Singapore and Russia. Any woman-owned business in India, Singapore, or Russia (whether registered or not) is eligible for the program. As part of the program, participants will learn to use various web-based technologies in day-to-day business while increasing the outreach to their customer base. Participants will learn tips and techniques on building an online presence, collaborating effectively, engaging with customers, innovative ways of promoting their organization, tracking the right metrics, and optimizing their online presence.
